Services will be held on Monday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for William Locke of Lake Milton who died on Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mr. Locke was born on April 28, 1933 in Youngstown the son of LaVerne and Florence (McGowan) Locke. He owned and operated Locke Plumbing & Heating, worked for the Mahoning County Sanitary Engineers, and had last worked for the Army Corp of Engineers at Berlin Dam retiring in 1998. He was a 1951 graduate of Jackson Milton High School, a member of the Prince of the Royal Secret and 32 (degree) Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown Consistory and the Pricetown Methodist Church. Bill was an avid bowler and fisherman and also played baseball and golf. Mr. Locke is survived by his children William B. Locke Jr. of Lake Milton, Mary P. Juhasz of North Jackson, Linda Miller of Mineral Ridge, Christine Gialousis of Youngstown and Florence Telesz of New Castle, sister Mary Palmer of Lake Milton and a brother Donald Locke of Poland, six grandchildren Shaun Miller, Jason Locke, Michael Juhasz, Brandon Gialousis, Hannah Telesz and Adam Telesz. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary R. Auld Locke whom he married on May 28, 1955 and who died on December 10, 1996, and a sister Florence Locke Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association and Tod’s Children Hospital.
