William Charles DeHoff, Sr. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for William Charles DeHoff, Sr. of Canfield, who died Wednesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus. William was born December 18, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of the late William Curtis and Dorothy Pontius DeHoff and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Canfield High School in 1954 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves. William worked at the Borden Dairy Company for over 25 years, starting as a truck driver and later becoming the manager for the ice cream plant, retiring when the ice cream plant closed. William then went on to work for Coy Brothers Trucking and Agland Co-op, Inc. He was a bee-keeper and a member of the Mahoning county Bee Keeper's Association and also a member of Paradise United Church of Christ Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sally Ann Marshall, whom he married November 24, 1956 and died November 14, 2006. William leaves his three children, William C. (Linda) DeHoff of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Betty Jane (Alan) Guerin of Marion, Indiana, David A. (Karen) DeHoff of Columbiana; five grandchildren, Jonathan Guerin, Matthew (Bethany) Guerin, Hannah Guerin, Cody DeHoff, Austin DeHoff and a great-grandson, Chase. William also leaves his brother, Robert (Annette) DeHoff of Georgia and his companion, Madeline Capel.
