WARREN: William E. Marsteller (Bill), 72, born August 26, 1944, in Warren, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2017. Bill passed away doing what he loved most, boating. He was with his grandson, Matthew Baron, going to Put-In-Bay. Bill had no pain or suffering, which is what we are thankful for. Bill Marsteller quietly bought, sold and leased over 11 million square feet of industrial real estate holdings in a multi-state area. The majority of those properties were in the Mahoning Valley. Bill was particularly proud of his ability to redevelop industrial buildings that most developers would not touch because of environmental concerns. Bill possessed both the knowledge and contacts with the regulators to work out the environment issues and remediate as needed. Many companies are located in our region thanks to Bill's expertise. Bill's approach to life was unique to say the least. Whether it was how he negotiated a business deal or his optimism about life. He always said, "Every day is a holiday and every meal is a banquet." He always saw the beauty in things. He loved working on his boats and spending time with his friends and family. He really loved his classmates of 1962. Bill "relaxed" by working in the engine room on his boats or touring a new plant. He was always thinking of his next adventure, but no matter where it brought him, he would always call to check in with his beloved Linda. He enjoyed traveling with Linda and their family. At the end of each day he would unwind with Linda, some peanut butter toast and a good movie. Bill did not ever sweat the small stuff, he treated life as one big party, and he could always be found on the dance floor. He never spoke badly about anyone and always found the good in people. With Bill the glass was always half full, never half empty. It was hard to stay angry at Bill or to not have a good time around him. Anyone who came around Bill and Linda felt as if they were family. He was one of a kind and enjoyed helping everybody. He never asked why, but always asked how he could help when someone was in need. He will be dearly missed. If there is one thing we can learn from Bill it is how to live life. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 8, 2017 at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark location where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Bill is survived by his wife Linda L Marsteller. His children Billie Jean Srock (Matthew Srock), Jacquelyn Georgalas- DeLaVega (Fernando DeLaVega), Martene Castillo (Hubert Castillo), and Richard Infante. His ten grandchildren, Lindsey Georgalas-Ward and Hines Ward, Attorney Lauren Georgalas, Matthew Baron, Cameron DeLaVega, Kaitlyn Srock, Kenzie Srock, Madison Srock, Richard D. Infante, and Alexis Benko. His great-grandson, Jaden Hines Ward. His sister Deloris Cavanaugh and brother Ken Marsteller and several nieces and nephews.
