William Gustave Blomstran

Bill was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate N.Y., where he met the love of his life Joan Ellen at a very young age. They married in 1965, had 2 daughters, a good life and many happy years. He remained faithful to her even after her untimely death in 2004. He was a hard working Family Man who enjoyed his dogs, trucks, fast cars, Harleys, burning rubber, the Marine Corps, good music, good food, and standing back admiring a job well done. Bill went to Hudson Valley Technical College in Troy, New York and Bradley University in Peoria, IL after graduating from Moriah High School. He had a long career as a foreman in the steel industry. Bill is survived by brother Bruce (Joan), sister Jan (Ralph), daughters Kimberly and Angela (Dale), grandchildren James, Jesse, William, Samantha, Tristan, and Ellenah, and great grandchild Sophia. Our late firecracker - he was goofy, crazy, wild, fun, silly, kind and caring. He was fair, loyal, loving, giving, patient and compassionate, diplomatic and trustworthy. A patriot, a father, a friend, a light that has gone out but will NEVER be forgotten. With all of our hearts we will miss and love you, Daddy.
