William H. "Bill" Leapline Jr., 72, of Howland Twp. died 12:50 AM Thursday July 3, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness. Bill was born Nov.4, 1935 in Dunbar, PA the son of William and Leona (Smitley) Leapline Sr. He attended school in Dunbar, PA and then served 4 years in the US Navy stationed on the USS Wagner. A Warren area resident since returning from the service in 1958, he was employed by various companies most recently Mercury Plastics in Middlefield as an extruder operator for 16 years retiring in 1998. Bill was a member of different golf and bowling leagues and also enjoyed fishing, yard-work, and puttering around the house. He was raised in the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Audrey (Barnes) Leapline whom he married Feb.19, 1955, daughter Pamela S. (Carl) Boggs of Warren, 2 sons Rickey L. (Kimberly) Leapline of Salem, Steven R. (Susan) Leapline of Warren, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves 2 sisters Donna Barta of Hastings, NE, Joyce Seman of Belle Vernon, PA. and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law Lewis and Lillian Barnes, 3 brothers Ronald, Vincent, and Timothy and a great granddaughter Lily Rose Leapline. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 8, 2008 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Monday. Pastor Tom Palmer will officiate.
