William M. Allen

William M. Allen, 73, passed away at his home in Cortland on August 18, 2019. Bill was born on August 31, 1945 in Warren to Maxwell & Ruth Bailey Allen. He was a lifelong resident of the area.
After proudly serving his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, Bill settled into his career at Packard Electric retiring after 35 years.
On October 28, 1967, Bill was united in marriage to the former Suzanne Teubner who survives.
Bill was a talented woodworker, and was known for his many handcrafted bowls. He also loved to be outside tending to his yard and gardens.
Cremation has taken place and private services will be held.
Besides by his wife of 51 years, Bill is survived by his children, Christopher (Tamara), William (Toni) Jr., and Shelley Allen; his grandchildren Bradley, Alex, Audrey, Brenden and Jia; and his brother James (Marcia) Allen as well as many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judy Phelps.
