William M. "Billy" Duchanois

YOUNGSTOWN-William M. (Bill) DuChanois, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. He was born November 25, 1952 in Warren, a son of William R. and Lucille (Weddle) DuChanois. "Billy" as he was known by to family and friends graduated from Youngstowns South High School and attended Youngstown State University for accounting. Billys first job was at 16, working at Idora Park in the Penny arcade. At 18, Billy started with the J.C. Penney Automotive Center in Boardman which became Firestone. Billy worked for Bridgestone/Firestone as assistant manager and manager at many of the companys locations throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania and had just retired Dec. 31, 2018 after 37 years of dedicated service. Billy was a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed a fine cigar and fishing trips to Lake Erie with his brother Dan, late brother John and nephew Brian Aulisio. He maintained a life-long friendship with his high school pals. Billy leaves behind his wife of nearly 40 years, Holly Zetts DuChanois, whom he married May 12, 1979; his sister, Sue DuChanois; his brother, Dan (Melody) DuChanois; his in-laws, Stephen and Nancy Zetts; his sister-in-law, Jane Weaver; his nieces, Lisa, Sheri and Aimee; his nephew, Brian and several great nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sharon Aulisio, his brother, John DuChanios and his sister-in-law, Suzie (Lallo) DuChanois. There will be Services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the Service. Since Billy was a devoted dog daddy to Bella Mia, Peanutbutter, Jelly and Kubby, in lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to Every Dog Matters, P.O. Box 3632, Yo., OH 44513.
