WARREN- William "Bill" Richard Austin, age 89, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Washington Square Care Center. He was born June 17, 1929 in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Denzil R. and Thelma Jean (Stewart) Austin. Bill was a proud Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Packard Electric after 20 years of service. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, the former Emma Lou Myers, son Denzil H. Austin, and siblings, Margaret, Charles, and Gail. He is survived by his children, Melinda L. (Franz) Morse, Barbara S. Switzer, Janice M. (Junior) Kauffman, W. Frank Austin; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and siblings, Maxine Flick, Harry "Sonny" Austin, Doris Bowden and Lois Mullins. Friends may call 5-7PM Friday, March 22nd at the Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren. Graveside services will be 11AM Saturday, March 23rd at the chapel in Greenlawn Cemetery on Ashtabula-Dennison Rd in Greene Township, officiated by nephew, Rev. Don Howell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Square Care Center, Southern Care Hospice, or a charity of one's choice.
