William Snowden Jr.

William Snowden Jr., 63, of Girard, passed away following an illness, on Thursday, November 21st, at his residence.

Born on September 3, 1961 in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of William and Shelby (Cline) Snowden Sr.

William was a 1979 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. He was a volunteer firefighter for Mineral Ridge Fire Department and prior to retirement in 2008, he was a Mill Wright for VM Star.

William enjoyed golfing, hunting, and carpentry, and was an avid sports fan. He was a car enthusiast and a brilliant mechanic. He loved his four dogs; Zoey, Lilly, Haus, and Little Joe.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children William Joseph Snowden, James Snowden, Justin (Nicole) Snowden and Amanda (John Buckley V) Snowden; his grandchildren Jacob, Joseph, John “Cooby,” and Dean; and his siblings Cheryl Traichal, Randy (Kim) Snowden, and Karen (Tom) Lambert.

William is preceded in death by his father William Sr. and his wife, Sharon, whom he married January 29, 1987 and died June 23, 2022.

The family will receive relatives and friends, Wednesday, November 27th, at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel from 10:00-11:00 AM, with a service immediately following at 11:00 AM.
