William Virgil Shuback

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Canfield Christian Church for William Virgil Shuback of Canfield who passed away Friday afternoon at his home. Mr. Shuback was born June 5, 1921 in North Bessemer, PA the son of William J. and Dora (Wheeler) Shuback. He was a die setter at Packard Electric for 35 years and retired in 1976. Bill was a member of the Canfield Christian Church, The Ruritan Club, and was a member of the Odd Fellows for over 45 years. He was also an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #177. Bill leaves five children: Sally Payne, Patricia Wiant, and Alice Johns of Canfield, and Larry Shuback of Girard, and Rodger Shuback of Greenford. He also leaves three sisters of Pittsburgh: Myrtle Miller, Mary Lou Moore, and Patricia Abersold, as well as two brothers: Royce Jones of Pittsburgh and Norbert Shuback of Arizona. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Shuback was preceded in death by his wife Muriel (Bowman) whom he married January 26, 1942 and passed away on August 12, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his parents and step-father Clifford Jones. Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel as well as from 11-1 at the church prior to the services.
