Willis Earl Baker, 86 Funeral services will be at noon on Friday, June 2nd at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown Chapel for Willis Earl Baker, 86 of Austintown who died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus. Willis was born March 2, 1931 in Dover, Ohio, a son of the late Willis H. and Edith M. Baker. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and came to this area in 1959. He was a sales rep for Nabisco, Inc. for over 35 years, retiring in 1990. Willis was a member and very active with the Austintown Community Church and at one time he was a car enthusiast and an avid golfer. He was a member of the Brunch Bunch, which was a group of close friends that gathered to do different things. His wife, the former Beverly Hanna, whom he married August 26, 1955, died December 7, 2014. He leaves a daughter, Sharon (Barry) Wessels of Aurora; a son, Brad K. (Deb) Baker of Austintown; five grandchildren, Meredith (Dillon) Winchell, Brittany (Jeff) Eck, Brad Baker, Brian Wessels and Breanna (Kyle Holmes) Baker. Willis also leaves a sister-in-law, Nora Baker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Baker. Friends may call on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Angels for Animals, 4750 South Range Rd., Canfield, OH 44406 or to the donor's charity of choice.
