Zana M. Skelton

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10th at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Zana M. Skelton, age 73 of 5186 Raccoon rd. in Canfield, who passed away Friday morning at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Mrs. Skelton was born August 22, 1928 the daughter of Sandy and Doris (Scattergood) Sommerville. Zana was the former co-owner of the New Wilmington Livestock Auction. She was a member of the Ladies Shrine, Amaranth, the Canfield United Methodist Church, the Argus Lodge Widows Group, and had attended Baldwin-Wallace University. Mrs. Skelton is survived by a son Thomas of Canfield, a sister Wanda Osborne, and 4 grandchildren as well as a great-grandaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Skelton whom she married Feb. 14, 1948 and passed away Sept. 20, 1996 as well as a sister Juanita Sharp. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9th at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel. The family will also meet friends at a gathering Monday night Sept. 10th beginning at 7 PM at the newly constructed building behind the New Wilmington Livestock Auction at 2006 New Wilmington-Mercer Rd. in New Wilmington, PA. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
